Speed-Dating Speaking Activity 

🔹 Goal: Practice fluent speaking in short conversations. 

⏳ Time: 15-20 minutes 

1️⃣ Sit across from a partner. 

2️⃣ Discuss the question – each person speaks for 1 minute. 

3️⃣ After 2 minutes, switch partners (one row moves right). 

4️⃣ Repeat for 7-8 rounds with new questions. 

🔹 Rules:

✅ Speak English only. 

✅ Give detailed answers (not just yes/no). 

✅ Keep talking – ask follow-up questions!

 If you could live inside any movie or TV show for a week, which one would you choose and why?

 You can swap lives with any historical figure for a day. Who do you choose, and what’s the first thing you do?

If animals could talk, which one would be the most annoying, and why?

 If you could swap voices with any famous person for a day, who would it be and why?

A company wants to turn your life into a reality show. What’s the name of the show, and what’s the main drama?

You can only eat one food for the rest of your life, but you never get tired of it. What do you choose and why?

Het Centraal Examen vraagt niet 

om leesvaardigheid

Het vraagt om begrip over wat CITO 

van je wil

Weet je dat, dan haal je goede cijfers

Meerkeuzevraag (1)

1. Lees eerst de vraag goed door: zorg dat je 'm helemaal begrijpt > zoek woorden op, let op nuttig info (regel/alinea nummers, linking words)
   
2. Lees relevante tekst op zoek naar antwoord, en niets meer!
   
3. Streep alle signaal- en functiewoorden aan
   
4. Lees dan pas de antwoorden
5. Haal de duidelijk foute antwoorden er tussenuit

Meerkeuzevraag (2)

6. Bij twijfel tussen 2 (of meer) antwoorden, lees tekst nogmaals

7.  Kies je antwoord: past het de grote lijn van het verhaal & kloppen alle onderdelen ?

8. Weet je nog steeds niet: markeer vraag voor later en ga door

9. Check gemarkeerde vragen: lees opnieuw en kies antwoord

10. Indien je echt niet weet: kies een antwoord 

11. Loop alle vragen langs: zorg dat je alle antwoorden hebt!

Lees de vraag, niet de antwoorden! Staat er nuttige informatie in de vraag?

In het voorbeeld hiernaast zie je dat je moet kijken in paragrafen 1 en 2.

Verder staat er het woord relate in de vraag. We moeten dus op zoek naar een linking word en uitzoeken om welk tekstverband het gaat.

Yet is negatief, en de zin na But is dat ook.  D is dus het juiste antwoord.

• Deze woorden of synoniemen/omschrijvingen hiervan staan niet in de tekst.
• Het juiste antwoord is dus A.
