Belfast. Capital of Northern Ireland. 342.000 inhabitants.

It is very nice to visit the 'Titanic Quarter'. This is where they designed the real TITANIC.

The Giant's Causeway consists of basalt rocks which formed because of volcanic activity.

It is a very touristic attraction!

Notes

Community-> a place where people live together.

Three types of communities:

1. URBAN (stedelijk) : large and highly populated

2.SUBURBAN (buitensteden, aan de rand van de stad): near a city, more space, less traffic)

3.RURAL (platteland, dorpen): very few people, lots of natural landscape surrounding it

Notes

Town -> smaller than a city, but larger than a village. 

The smaller a community, the less facilities there are. 

Examples:

Amsterdam-> city

Hoofddorp->town

Zwaanshoek->village
