  • They don't have any friends.
  • There isn't any milk left.
  • Is there any ice in the fridge?
Some:
  • I would like some apples, please.
  • They know some people who work at a bank.
  • Jane took some photographs.
  • Would you like some coffee?

  • Questions (you offer something)
    Would you like some coffee?

  • Questions (you expect the person to say yes)

affirmative = bevestigend
