Voor je schrijftoets moet je een formele sollicitatie brief schrijven.

Belangrijk dus dat je dit goed kunt!

Vandaag gaan wij een formele brief oefenen.

What are informal letters?

A letter you write to:

• Friends
• Family
• other close acquaintances(kennissen)

Indeling van een formele brief

• Aanhef(greetings)
• Inhoud (subject and the body)
• Slotzin (closing sentence)
• Afsluiting (conclusion)
• Handtekening (Signature)

What are formal letters?

A letter you write to:

• Newspapers
• Important people (je Baas)
• Workrelated (sollicitatie brief)

Aanhef - Greeting

Formal - you know the last name(surname)

• For a woman - Dear Ms Jones,
• For a man - Dear Mr Williams,
  

Formal - you don't know the last name(surname)

• Dear Sir/Madam,

Wat is het laatste wat je schrijft?

Afsluiting - Conclusion

Formal - you know the lastname

Formal - you don't know the last name

• Yours faithfully,

What is the last thing you write after the comma in the conclusion?

Hoe zeg je in het Engels 'Ik schrijf deze brief omdat ... '.

Can you make the sentences better?

I am Sam, a 14 year old boy from the Netherlands.

Instead of camping I want to go to safari.

We tought that we could get a active vacation like going on a safari.

My idea was to go to a sunny land where you can do a lot of adventure-themed things.

Normal we went to turkey but I am so bored from turkey.

My brother has not friends there so he is also boring there.

If we go to France we went to Paris.

The weater was bad and there weren't so much to do.

I got really exited about this programme and me an my family really like to join.

We could sail accross a tropical island or even going on safari.

I really hope we still can join even tough we live in the netherlands.
