Instruction

Telling time in English is different from telling time in Dutch. 

But there are some similarities:

Kwart over = A quarter past ...

Kwart voor = A quarter to ...

In Dutch we say half 9

In English we say half past 8

How to tell time

Write out the time:
03:50

1. It's ten to four.
2. It's fifty past three.
3. It's almost four o'clock
4. It's twenty past half four.

What time is it?

1. It's twelve o 'clock
2. It's one o'clock
3. It's five past one
4. It's half past one

What time is it?
07:15

1. It's fifteen past seven.
2. It's fifteen to seven.
3. It's a quarter past seven.
4. It's a quarter to seven.

What time is it?
13.30

1. It's half past two
2. It's one o'clock
3. It's half past one
4. It's half two

What time is it?
03:50

1. It's ten to four.
2. It's fifty past three.
3. It's almost four o'clock
4. It's twenty past half four.

What time is it?
06:45

1. It's fifteen past seven.
2. It's fifteen to seven.
