Goals

You know what to look for when you're filling in a form.

Filling in / out a form

You give others information by:

- answering questions

- filling / crossing / encircling

- expand on certain questions

When do you fill in a form?
What do you write down?

What kind of forms?

- Order forms (shopping)

- Complaint forms

- Damage forms (accidents)

- Report forms (reflect on a situation)

- Others…(lost & found forms, ect)

Vocabulary

Look up words you don’t know

- You cannot provide an answer if you don’t know what to answer.

- Different forms = different vocabulary

Grammar: Spelling rules

The following rules could help you out a lot!

- Try and take quick / short notes of the following info (just to practice for yourself a little)

Spelling: S-sounds

Na een sisklank krijgt een woord -es i.p.v. -s

Bus = Buses

Watch = Watches

Spelling: O's

Na een -o krijgen een aantal woorden -es i.p.v -s

Hero = Heroes

Do / go = She does / goes

Potato = Potatoes

Spelling: Y's

Na een medeklinker verandert -y in -ie

Easy = Easier / easiest

Twenty = Twentieth

Na een klinker verandert -y niet

Boy = Boys

Play = Played

Spelling: -ves

Een aantal woorden die eindigen op een -f klank krijgen -ves in meervoud:

Thief = thieves

Wolf = wolves

Life = lives

Spelling: Silent e

De stille -e valt weg voor de uitgangen -ed, -er/-est, -ing

Simple = Simpler / simplest

Share = Shared / sharing

Het wordt niet: simpleer of simpleest.

Spelling: -ie

De -ie aan het eind van een ww verandert in -y voor de uitgang -ing

To lie = Lying
