Lesson goals

Aan het einde van de les...

- Herhaling van alle Stones en Vocabulary tot nu toe gehad

Future tense (Toekomende tijd)

• Will (+ hele ww)
• (Am/are/is +) going to (+ hele ww)
• Present continuous (afspraken gemaakt die nog gaan plaatsvinden)
• Future continuous (verwachten dat ze in de toekomst zullen plaatsvinden)
• Present simple (tijdschema’s, roosters en dienstregelingen in de toekomst)

Will or going to?

Will + hele werkwoord              --> er wordt nu een beslissing gemaakt
                                                                   voorspellingen waar geen bewijs voor is 
                                                                   beloftes, aankondigingen & besluiten 

I will call Patrick tomorrow, I promise!
We will help you with the dishes
 

(to be) am/is/are + going to + hele ww -->  voorspellingen waar bewijs voor is 
                                                                         besluit is al genomen 
We're going to visit Newcastle tomorrow 
Look at the sky, it is going to rain 

Nogmaals schrijf het op!

will + hele ww :

iemand een voorspelling doet zonder dat er bewijs is.

iemand iets van plan is / een beslissing maakt en dat op dat moment aangeeft.

to be( am/are/is)+ going to + hele ww :

iemand een voorspelling doet en er bewijs is.

iemand iets van plan is / een beslissing maakt en dat al vaststaat / eerder is afgesproken.

the FUTURE tense:

2. WILL

-> iets aanbieden, een belofte, een spontaan besluit, een aankondiging, een voorspelling zonder bewijs

voorbeelden:

We will help you tomorrow.

I will go to the University of Cambridge 

next year.

It will rain a lot next week.

Je kunt will ook afgekort of ontkennend gebruiken in een zin:

Afgekort:    I will --> I'll

You will --> You'll

He will --> He'll

We will --> We'll

They will --> They'll

Ontkennend:   Will not / Won't

I will not come to your place

I won't come to your place

the FUTURE tense:

3. TO BE GOING TO

-> een plan of een conclusie met bewijs

voorbeelden:

I  am going to study harder next year.

Look at those clouds, it is going to rain soon.

I am going to give a presentation.

Am/are/is + going to + hele ww

Going to

Vorm:

I + am + going to + hele werkwoord

you/we/they + are + going to + hele werkwoord

he/she/it + is + going to + hele werkwoord

the FUTURE tense:

3. Present continuous 

-> een plan gemaakt in de toekomst

voorbeelden:

I'm watching a film with Jordan tonight.

You are going home after this game.

Am/are/is + ww + ing

the FUTURE tense:

3. Future continuous 

-> aan te geven dat iets waarschijnlijk aan de gang zal zijn in de toekomst

voorbeelden:

At 8 o'clock I will be watching the show.

This time next week they will be giving a speech

Will be + ww + ing

the FUTURE tense:

1. PRESENT SIMPLE

-> in de toekomst vindt het plaats volgens: schema/rooster

voorbeelden:

The train leaves at 7 a.m.

School starts at a quarter past 8.

The show starts at 8 o'clock.

Dit is de makkelijkste!

The lesson (to start) at 9 o'clock. (present simple)

I (to help) you study for your next exam. (will)

I (to play) football tonight. (going to)

This time next week I (to teach) the same class. (continuous)
