Adverbs of place and time

Adverb of place = plaatsbepaling    (at school, in the car, 

                                                                            in England)

Adverb of time = tijdsbepaling          (at 4 o'clock, tomorrow

                                                                            next week, yesterday)

Adverbs of place and time

Komen in het Engels meestal aan het eind van de zin:

He is going to give a concert in Houston    (place)

He is going to give a concert tomorrow       (time)

Als het moment wanneer het gebeurt belangrijk is, kun je de tijdsbepaling (adverb of time) helemaal vooraan in de zin zetten:

Tomorrow he is going to give a concert.

Let op: Het is tijd, onderwerp, werkwoord niet tijd, werkwoord, onderwerp

Adverbs of place and time

Wanneer plaats en tijd allebei in de zin staan, komt eerst plaats en dan tijd: 

He is going to give a concert in Houston tomorrow

Welke zin klopt?

1. He works every day at the bakery.
2. Every day at the bakery he works.
3. At the bakery he works every day.
4. He works at the bakery every day.

Welke zin klopt?

1. I will tomorrow go to my new school.
2. Tomorrow to my new school I will go.
3. I will go to my new school tomorrow.
4. I will go tomorrow to my new school.

Welke zin klopt?

1. Last summer I went to Australia.
2. I went last summer to Australia.
3. Australia I went to last summer.
4. I went to Australia last summer.

Correct word order:
summer / we / here / are / in / usually

1. Usually we are here in summer.
2. We usually are here in summer.
3. We are usually in summer here.
4. We are usually here in summer.

Correct word order is:
every 30 minutes / the bus goes/ to Amsterdam

1. The bus to Amsterdam goes every 30 minutes
2. The bus goes to Amsterdam every 30 minutes
3. To Amsterdam the bus every 30 minutes goes
4. The bus every 30 minutes goes to Amsterdam
