Hair follicle is the organ that produces hair. Hair bulb is the base where hair growth begins.

Function of the Dermal Papilla

Dermal papilla provides nutrients to the hair bulb and plays a crucial role in hair growth.

Anagen Phase of Hair Growth

Active growth phase of hair. Hair strand grows longer during this phase.

Cessation of Activity of the Hair Follicle

Hair follicle ceases activity and enters the catagen phase, a transitional stage.

Catagen Phase and Transition

Transitional phase following the anagen phase. Hair follicle begins to shut down.

Telogen Phase and Hair Shedding

Resting phase of the hair cycle. Old hair may be shed and new hair begins to form.

New Hair Formation and Transition to New Anagen Phase

New hair formation is initiated, leading to a new anagen phase and the continuation of the growth cycle.

Hair Follicle: The skin organ that produces hair, consisting of several layers with different functions. Hair Bulb: The base of the hair follicle, where hair growth begins. Dermal Papilla: A structure at the base of the hair follicle that provides the necessary nutrients to the hair bulb and plays a crucial role in hair growth. Anagen Phase: The active growth phase of hair, during which the hair strand grows longer. Catagen Phase: The transitional phase following the anagen phase, where the hair follicle begins to shut down. Telogen Phase: The resting phase of the hair cycle, during which old hair may be shed and new hair begins to form. New Anagen Phase: The phase marking the beginning of a new hair growth cycle.
