Present simple

How :  onderwerp (the train) + verb(s) 

When: With a time schedule 

Example: The trian leaves at 08:00. 

The bus ......... at 09:00 AM. (to depart)
How would you write "to depart"?

The future 

Present continuous 

How:  

to be + verb + ing

When: planned arrangements 

Example: 

He is visiting his mother tomorrow. 

They are holding a meeting next week.

Going to 

How:

I + to be+ going + to + rest of the sentence

When: 

When you can see the evidence that something is going to happen or for intentions

Example: 

Look at at the clouds! It is going to rain

I ....... a presentation next month. (to give)

Will

How:     subject + will 

When:    promises, hope, predictions

Example:  

 I promise I will not distrub you

I think she will leave the club. 

I hope you ....... on time. (to be)

May / might

How:  may/might + (not) + verb 

When: if something is uncertain or a maybe

Example: 

Although she is ill, I think she might show up.

He might not be the best, but he is certainly not the worst

he ...... a tad off but he's actually really nice! (to look)
