  • Each chromosome in the nucleus is copied.
  • Then, two nuclei (plural of Nucleus) are formed.
  • Next, the cell divides.
  • After that, cytoplasm growth occurs.

When cells divide they don't really have a function yet. They can still turn into many different cells. These are called stem cells. After fertilizations, cells are made that can really become anything they want (making them super powerful). These are called embryonic stem cells
