What is an adjective? 

Adjective = bijvoeglijk naamwoord
Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord zegt iets over een zelfstandig naamwoord. 
Het staat er direct voor 
(This is a scary story) 
Of het staat verderop in de zin, als naamwoordelijk deel van het gezegde. 
(This story is scary

Met een adjective beschrijf je WAT iets is. 

Iets is mooi, oud, van papier, rond, lelijk, groot, Italiaans, vierkant, eng etc. etc. etc. 

Als je meer van deze bijvoeglijke naamwoorden achter elkaar hebt, moet je ze in het Engels (in het Nederlands trouwens ook) op een bepaalde volgorde zetten. 
Dit heet Order of Adjectives
