The passive - difficult?

- Who thinks the passive is really difficult?

Try to make these sentences passive & write them down.

1: The shop could not fix my guitar.

2: My mother has cleaned my room.

3: John wrecked my car.

How did you do?

1: My guitar could not be fixed by the shop.

2: My room has been cleaned (by my mom).

3: My car was wrecked (by John last week). 

The passive 

• - Always has a form of to be (Am/Is/Was/Were/Being/Been)
• Look at the tense (tijd).

Is it correct?

• Look at the sentence on the slide.
• Is the passive correct?
• Think of the answer yourself. Stay quiet until the timer runs out and I ask you to speak.
