Examining the Characters 

Inability to imagine others' thoughts/feelings. Understands he is a bit different. Starts learning to be more assertive, independent and confident.

Loving but impatient. Great difficulty in coping with Christopher's needs. Unstable/volatile.

Angry when stressed. Dutiful yet frustrated. Feels torn. The relationship with Christopher deteriorates, then improves again.
