  • Give information about a noun 
  • Only used for nouns
  • Come before a noun, or after a linking verb (to be, etc)

Adverbs
  • Say something about a verb or adjective.
  • Never used for nouns
  • Say something about the frequency or the way something happened
  • Commonly made by adding -ly to the adjective
