3 ways to use future tenses

1: Present Simple for future events

Use for events that are scheduled or arranged (gebeurtenissen die gepland zijn)

The supermarket closes at 10.00.

Our school trip is next week.

Present Simple

Bij he/she/it voeg je -s aan het werkwoord toe:

I walk

You walk

He/she/it (of een naam) walks

We walk

They walk

2: To be going to

Use for future plans or intentions (toekomstige plannen of intenties)

am/are/is + (not) + going to + verb

I am going to visit my grandmother this afternoon.

Leonard is not going to study this weekend.

3: Will

Use to make promises or predictions (beloftes of voorspellingen)

Can also be shortened to 'll

Will  + verb

Don't worry, I'll be ready for this weekend's match.

Your brother will help you with your chores.
