Lesson goals

You use reading strategies when taking a reading test.

You become familiar with the way questions are asked in the test.

What becomes clear from this article?

1. A rugby match has been cancelled because a certain stadium cannot be reached by public transport.
2. Several train stations need to be repaired after having been vandalised by a group of rugby fans.
3. People wanting to go to a particular rugby match are advised to avoid going by train.
4. Work at rail systems will be delayed in order to transport rugby fans to an important match.

‘a campaign called Very Important Trees’ (laatste zin) Wat is het doel van deze campagne?

1. een lijst aanleggen van bijzondere bomen om deze te behouden
2. geld inzamelen voor de behandeling van zieke bomen
3. onderzoeken welke boomsoorten met uitsterven bedreigd worden
4. protesteren tegen het kappen van historische bossen

Ik heb reading strategies gebruikt om de twee multiple choice vragen te beantwoorden.

When it rains cats and dogs, in come the mice’ (titel)  In welke zin wordt duidelijk gemaakt waarom de muizen dan naar binnen komen? Citeer (= schrijf over uit de tekst) de eerste twee woorden van deze zin.

What is described as ‘an inverted pyramid’ (paragraph 3)? The way in which

1. mice are finding better ways to survive in extreme weather conditions.
2. mice will work together to reach food that is stacked in high places.
3. one couple of mice multiply into a large population in just a short time.

De inhoud van alinea 4 staat hieronder, maar niet in de juiste volgorde. Zet de stukjes in de juiste volgorde.
