The influence of American culture in other countries outside of

the United States, in areas such as media, popular culture, technology and using American-English.

Why is Americanization happening?

Hollywood (the American film and television industry) since the 1920s has dominated most of the world's media markets. It is the main way by which people across the globe see American fashions, customs and way of life.

Why is Americanization happening?

Americanization became more obvious after the second World War. The United States helped building up Western Europe, and Western Europe became more influenced by the United States.

was not very popular in Europe. 

What are the consequences?

These people try to actively avoid being "Americanized." This anti-American movement also come from the dislike of the United States trying to meddle in political situations that are outside of the United States.
