Female Reproductive System

Goals

• You can name the parts of the female reproductive system and know how an egg cell moves through from formation until fertilization
• You can name all parts of the female reproductive system and what their functions are

But first...a little review of the male reproductive system

Can you explain what the function of the prostate is?

Put the organs in the correct order a sperm cell travels, from sperm production until ejaculation: Epididymus, Prostate, Sperm duct, Testis, Urethra

And now time for the female reproductive system...

What parts of the female reproductive system do you already know? Name them!

The female reproductive system

• External (outside the body, visible): vulva, labia, clitoris 
• Internal (inside the body, not visible): everything else

• Note: normally, we call the 'outside part' the vagina. However, this is actually not true. The vagina is part of the inside organs. The correct term for the 'outside' would be vulva.
