To be going to
We use "to be going to" for 2 reasons!
Form: to be + going to + infinitive (hele werkwoord)
1) When we talk about plans or intentions (
before
the conversation has started)
I
am going to visit
my aunt next week.
We
’re not going to attend
a concert later this month.

the bus?
We
are going to take
a train to Italy this summer.

You don't always need
the reason
in the sentence. In sentence 3 I can assume I can see why someone is going to fall.

Will vs shall
Shall can only be used with "I" and "we"
More British English
Asking for an opinion, suggestion or to offer something
Shall we go swimming tomorrow?
Shall I help you with that?

We use will for 4 different reasons
Form: will/shall + infinitive (heel werkwoord)
1) For a spontaneous decision during a conversation
I
will help
you move the couch.
There’s no more bread – I
’ll go
and buy some.
I
’ll have
a sandwich and a cup of tea.

Will
We use will/shall for 4 different reasons
Form: will/shall + infinitive (heel werkwoord)
2) For a prediction based on an opinion or uncertainty about the future
(often in combination with "don't think", "probably" or "possibly")
We
will win
tomorrow's game.

4) For facts or for things that happen so often they could be a fact (algemene waarheden)
