Single noun  (Enkelvoud)

Her dress is nice.
My sister's dress is nice.

Dus:    Enkelvouden =  's

THE POSSESSIVE:  ‘S

We use the possessive ‘ s after names of people and animals

Mickey's ears are funny.

Enkelvoud ( singular)

His bike is new.
My brother's bike is new.

(1 brother / 1 bike)

Plural nouns (meervouden)

Their dresses are nice.
My sisters' dresses are nice.

DUS: alleen '  (komma)

 Als meervoud NIET op s ( child —> children)

These children's books are famous.

The house has a leaking roof.
The roof of the house leaks.

( 2 dingen = of)
