- Voorzetsels van plaats
  vertellen waar iets zich
  bevindt. 

- Er zijn er heel veel...
   

Prepositions of place

- across (aan de overkant)                - on (boven op)
- opposite (tegenover)                       - outside (buiten)

- at (op)                                                      - within (binnen)
- close to / near (vlak bij)                   - in (in)
- in front of (voor)                                  - next to (naast)
- at the back of (achter)                                
- behind (achter)                                   En zes die op elkaar lijken....

Above / Over

- Above = 'boven/hoger' dan iets of iemand anders

- Over = als iets bedekt is of als er een beweging is van een
                 bepaald punt naar iets anders. 
                 > The plane was flying above the clouds. 

                 > He wore a raincoat over his suit. 

                 > He threw the ball over the fence

Below / Under

- Under = gebruik je bij een plek direct 'onder' iets of als iets of 
                     iemand bedekt is. 
- Below = gebruik je als je het hebt over iets wat op een 'lager' 
                     niveau is maar niet direct eronder. 
                     > Kara hid the key under a rock. 
                     > She wore a T-shirt under her jacket. 
                     > What is the name of the village below the castle?

Among / Between

- Between = 'tussen' en gebruik je bij tweetallen.

- Among = 'tussen' en gebruik je bij groepen groter dan twee. 

                  > Jenny sat between Harry and Laila. 
                  > Dad parked the car between two big lorries. 

                  > Liz is very popular among her friends. 
                  > Simon lived among gorillas for three years.
