You will also work on an exercise for your classmates about two of the tenses.

carnivore / herbivore / omnivore

Vind je het lastig om deze uit elkaar te houden?

Denk in ieder geval bij herbivore aan herbs (kruiden) - planteneter.

Misschien hebben jullie voor de andere twee iets aan jullie kennis van Latijn?

Voor deze woorden mag je beide de afkorting gewoon gebruiken!

Let bij dit woord goed op je context en dus de vertaling die je moet hebben.

In dit hoofdstuk is de gezochte vertaling waarschijnlijk reservaat.

to put down

Let erop dat kill niet zomaar gebruikt kan worden voor afmaken. Als een gewond dier wordt afgemaakt is het beter om put down te gebruiken. Heb je het over kill dan krijgt het meteen een hele andere lading terwijl bij put down je wellicht het dier helpt!

scavenger

Denk hierbij misschien niet aan een scavenger hunt ;)

Denk bij dit woord niet aan bidden, pray!

rare

Let op, dit woord lijkt op het NL maar is niet hetzelfde. Rare in het EN betekent zeldzaam in het NL:

That bird is very rare.
