Conditionals
Zero conditional: If you heat ice, it melts.
First conditional: If you are late, you will miss the bus.
Second conditional: If I had a car, I would drive to London
Third conditional: If I had passed my exams, I would have gone to university.

To express something that is likely to happen in the future (the result) if the condition happens or is true.
A possible future situation and its probable result.

If + present simple + will + verb

If you are late, you’ll miss the bus.

Let's play a game!
The challenge is to create a new sentence using the end of the previous one.

One student begins with a sentence, for example:'If I go out tomorrow, I’ll go to a beach.’ 
 The next person in the team must then use the end of the previous sentence: If I go to the beach, I’ll sunbathe… If I sunbathe, I’ll get burnt… If I get burnt, I’ll go to a pharmacy…
if + present simple  ....... will + verb
To express something that is likely to happen in the future (the result) if the condition happens or is true.

Second Conditional
To express something that is unlikely to happen in the future, or hypothetical (the result) if another unlikely or hypothetical thing (condition) happens.
Wish / imaginary situation in the present or future
If + past simple, would + verb
If I had a car, I would drive to London.
If I earned money, I would travel the world. (But I’m 13…)
