3) In de volgende dia's een filmpje over de present continuous en eentje over to be going to met weer een iets andere uitleg.

Future Simple

Vorm	Gebruik	Example:
Infinitief + (s)	Vaststaande gebeurtenissen in de toekomst die onderdeel zijn van een dienstregeling, rooster, of ander schema.	The train arrives at six o'clock. Does the supermarket close at 6 o'clock? Our next class starts in twelve minutes.

Vorm	Gebruik	Example:
To be + (not) going to + hele werkwoord	Iets (niet) van plan zijn. '	Ronan is going to visit his grandparents next week.
To be (not) + Onderwerp + going to + hele werkwoord?	Voorspelling met bewijs	Look at those dark clouds. It is going to rain.

Future: to be going to

In het Nederlands gebruiken wij vaak 'gaan'

Positive	I	am	going to	call	you later this week
	She	is	going to	visit	family in England
	We	are	going to	go out	for dinner
Negative	I	am	not going to	invite	a lot of people to my party.
	They	are	not going to	buy	souvenirs for everyone

Future = Will

Future: Present continuous

Future Simple

to be (not) + infinitief + ing	Afspraken in de nabije toekomst waarvan tijd en/of plaats al vaststaat.	I am visiting the dentist after school. He isn't running a marathon this weekend. I am celebrating my birthday tomorrow.

Wanneer gebruiken?

1. Gebruik bij tijden (klok)
2. Gebruik bij afspraken met vaste tijd/plaats
3. Gebruik bij plannen of voorspelling met bewijs
4. Gebruik bij beloftes of voorspelling zonder bewijs
