Comparisons
When we want to compare two things, we do this by using comparative adjectives (bijvoeglijk naamwoorden).

When an adjective has 1 syllable (lettergreep) we add -er and -est to compare.
If the adjective already ends in an -e, you just need to add -r or -st.
If the adjective ends in a consonant (medeklinker) and y, change the y to ie
If the adjective ends in a vowel (klinker) and a consonant (medeklinker), double the consonant.

Great                 greater                greatest
Dark                   darker                  darkest
Blue                   bluer                    bluest
Young               younger              youngest
Happy              happier               happiest

Bitter                       more bitter                  most bitter
Clever                     more clever                 most clever

Write down 2 things you want to know more about.

Slide 14 - Question ouverte

Here, students enter two things they would like to know more about. This not only increases involvement, but also gives them more ownership.
Ask 1 question about something you haven't quite understood yet.

Slide 15 - Question ouverte

The students indicate here (in question form) with which part of the material they still have difficulty. For the teacher, this not only provides insight into the extent to which the students understand/master the material, but also a good starting point for the next lesson.
