Bog Mummies
  •  Bog (moeras) mummies are bodies that were found all over Europe.
  • Because of the peat in the swamps the bodies are very well-preserved, so the organs and skin of the bodies are still there.

  •     Rule: Look at the letter in front: Vowel? Add -ed
  •  Not a vowel? Y -> i + ed

Summary: Past Simple
  •  When we talk about something in the past in English we add -ed to the verb.
  •  If the verb ends with an "e" (use) you only add  -d
  • If the verb end with a -y (spray, stay, bury) look at the letter before the y
  • Vowel - klinker? Add -ed as usual
  • Consonant - medeklinker? Y -> i then add -ed
