Benedict always wanted to be an international lorry driver and work for a transport company in Portsmouth. He tries to drive a trailer lorry, which runs on diesel. The maximum payload of his truck is 12 tons.

Usually his freight consists of non-perishable food products, like candy bars, chocolate bars or flour products. Sometimes he transports dirty magazines or erotic books.

Most of the time his destination is a town in France or Germany. Sometimes he has to go to Poland, but he has no passport so he has to be careful.

What Benedict likes about playing a truck driver is the freedom and the independence. He likes driving to other countries on the wrong side of the road and meeting other drivers from all over Europe and get drunk with them.

What he doesn’t like about playing a truck driver are the long waiting hours. Waiting for customs procedures in Eastern Europe can last as long as 24 hours! The clearing of goods and the filling in of documents takes a lot of valuable time. At some loading addresses the waiting can be long too.

But all in all Benedict is quite happy as a so-called driver . He wouldn’t want to do anything else, except winning the lottery and playing in X-rated movies!
