• You will have to answer in English; however, your English skills (as long as everything is clear) are not graded  

Old English

The first literary work we'll work on is Beowulf.

Beowulf was written in Old English. As you will see, this is very different from Modern English. You will not have to understand the language, as everything is translated into Modern English. 

An example of Beowulf as read out in Old English can be found in the following video. 

Early Middle Ages (460 - 1066) 

Let's begin by reading on the website. 

• Please take 'Sutton Hoo' in front of you. 
• Now, please take 'King Alfred' in front of you.

in this case Old English.

3. Answer questions about Beowulf from website
