When do we use the present perfect continuous?

1. I have been travelling since October
2. We've been working  out so we're a bit sweaty

1. Unfinished actions = started in the past and is still continuing
2. A long action in the past with a consequence

Signal words continuous:

• for a long time now

• Etc.

Watch out! Signal words are helpful but not gospel

Present perfect continuous

When?   To talk about activities which started in the past and       are still continuing now + to talk about actions with a result in the present.
