Cobh

Cobh is een klein kuststadje dat deel uitmaakt van het havencomplex van Cork. Het heeft mooie schilderachtige huizen en een spannende geschiedenis. 

In 1912 was het de laatste aanloophaven van de Titanic, toen Cobh nog Queenstown heette. Er zijn 123 mensen aan boord gestapt, voordat zij op 11 april 1912 de Atlantische oceaan opging voor haar eerste, en enige, reis naar New York.

Dit is ook zo bij geldbedragen. In het Nederlands zeg je ‘2 euro’. In het Engels moet je het meervoud gebruiken. Kijk maar:
