Some/any(een paar) 

Nu volgt er uitleg over some/any, wanneer gebruik je het? 

Vergelijk de volgende zinnen:

1. We need to buy some groceries.

2. I need one apple and two bananas.

3. We need to buy a lot of vegetables.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

Some wordt gebruikt bij 'positieve' zinnen (+).

- I got some nice presents for Christmas this year.

- This job is going to take some time.

Any wordt gebruikt bij negatieve zinnen(-) en vragen(?).

- I didn't get any nice presents for Christmas this year.

- I looked in the cupboard but I couldn't find any biscuits.

- Have you got any idea what she is saying?

MAAR! Als je denkt dat het antwoord op een vraag "JA" is, gebruik je some:

- Can I have some sugar, please?
