Slide 1 - Diapositive

Slide 2 - Carte mentale

Frequent mistakes while using English language

Slide 3 - Diapositive

Across vs. through
Across = 2d át, keresztül.
Pl He ran across the road.
Through = 3d át, keresztül, pl

I vs. Me
Nagyon egyszerű: I = alanyeset, míg Me = tárgyeset
Pl:
Mary and I were in cinema yesterday.
He has sent me a kind letter.

Slide 4 - Diapositive

All vs. Every vs. Each.
All = egész, összes, mind
              It is raining all day.
I have lost all my money.
Every = összes, de egyenként értve. Kizárólag megszámlálható főnevekkel működik.
                Mindig egyesszám van utána!
              I have checked every room.
It rains every day in autumn.
Each = összes, egyenként értve. Mégsem ugyanaz, mint az előző, nézd:
             Every artist is sensitive.
            Each artist sees things differently.

Slide 5 - Diapositive

Indokolatlan Present Perfect:

Wrong:    I have visited Niagara Falls last weekend.
Right:       I visited Niagara Falls last weekend.

Amennyiben mondjuk az állítmány 'to be' lenne, akkor lehetne értelme, de a 'to visit' esetén nincs.

Személynél mindig 'who' legyen:
Wrong:  The woman which works here is from Japan.
Right:  The woman who works here is from Japan.

Slide 6 - Diapositive

'To marry' vonzata a 'to':

Wrong:   She’s married with a dentist.
Right:     She is married to a dentist.

Boring/Bored:
Wrong:  She was boring in the class.
Right:    She was bored in the class.
Ugyanez vonatkozik pl erre is: exciting/excited

Slide 7 - Diapositive

Although után már nem kell 'but':

Wrong:   Although it was raining, but we had the picnic.
Right:     Although it was raining, we had the picnic.

Have to vagy Must (és nem 'Must to'):
Wrong:   I must to call him immediately.
Right:      I must call him immediately.
Csak a 'have to' után van 'to', a 'must' után nincs!

Slide 8 - Diapositive

'Looking forward to'
Wrong:    I look forward to meet you.
Right:      I look forward to meeting you.
Wrong:   I like very much ice cream.
Right:     I like ice cream very much.
A tárgy előrébb való, mint a határozók!

Slide 9 - Diapositive

Can után:
Wrong:  She can to drive.
Right:     She can drive.
Itt nem tükörfordítunk, hiába vezetNI magyarul, mivel a 'can' egy modális ige, nincs utána főnévi igenév!
Szórend 2:
Wrong:   Where I can find a bank?
Right:      Where can I find a bank?

Slide 10 - Diapositive

Rejtett conditional:
Wrong:    When I will arrive, I will call you.
Right:       When I arrive, I will call you.
Itt a 1st conditional szabályai érvényesek, a 'when' helyettesíti az 'if'-et
The USA:
Wrong:    I live in United States.
Right:       I live in the United States.

Slide 11 - Diapositive

Since/For:
Wrong:    I’ve been here since three months.
Right:      I’ve been here for three months.
Időtartam esetén 'for', időpontnál pedig 'since'
Job/Work:
Wrong:  My girlfriend has got a new work.
Right:     My girlfriend has got a new job.
Egyszerű jelentésbeli különbség van. Job = Állás; Work = Munka

Slide 12 - Diapositive

Listen:
Wrong:   She doesn’t listen me.
Right:     She doesn’t listen to me.
A 'to listen' ige mögé mindig kell egy 'to', ha ott van, hogy mit hallgatunk/figyelünk.
Good/Well:
Wrong:   You speak English good.
Right:      You speak English well.
'Good' = jó; míg a 'Well' = jól

Slide 13 - Diapositive

Police:
Wrong:   The police is coming.
Right:     The police are coming.
'Police' = rendőrség, így többesszám. Egyes száma kifejezésére: 'policeman' vagy 'police officer'
Enough:
Wrong:   The house isn’t enough big.
Right:     The house isn’t big enough.
Pont fordítva használjuk, mint magyarul.

Slide 14 - Diapositive

Dupla negáció:
Wrong:   I didn’t meet nobody.
Right:     I didn’t meet anybody.
Wrong:  His favourite car Mercedes.
Right:  His favourote car is Mercedes.

Slide 15 - Diapositive

Children:
Wrong:  How many childrens do you have?
Right:    How many children do you have?
Rendhagyó többeszámi forma
'ful' végződés:
Wrong:   She is success.
Right:     She is successful.
Főnévből melléknevet több esetben '-ful' végződéssel képzünk (egy L!) Pl: beauty-beautiful, wonder-wonderful

Slide 16 - Diapositive

Like/As:
Wrong:   You are very nice, as your mother.
Right:     You are very nice, like your mother.
'Like' = olyan mint (de nem az), 'As' = valamiként (tényleg az) Te nem vagy az anyád...
Say/Tell:
Wrong:  She said me that she liked you.
Right:     She told me that she liked you.
A 'to tell' vonzatos, kell mögé, hogy kinek (me), míg a 'to say' nem az, oda hiba rakni 'irányt'

Slide 17 - Diapositive

Foglalkozásnevek:
Wrong:   Her husband is engineer.
Right:     Her husband is an engineer.
Foglalkozásnevek elé mindig kell egy határozatlan névelő!
Visszaható névmások:
Wrong:  They cooked the dinner themself.
Right:    They cooked the dinner themselves.
Figyeljünk a többesszámi formákra!

Slide 18 - Diapositive

With/By:
Wrong:    I always go to school with bus.
Right:       I always go to school by bus.
Közlekedési eszközök esetén 'with' helyett 'by'-t használunk.
Home:
Wrong:  We are going to home.
Right:     We are going home.
Pl. I'm at home.

Slide 35 - Diapositive

I had a terrible evening. I got home late from work and still had a report to finish. As you
know, my computer is really old and slow - I really need to install more __________.
Anyway, when I tried to double-__________ on the file I wanted to work on, a ________
appeared telling me that the file could not be opened. So I decided to try opening it using a
different programme but that only made my computer ___________ completely. The screen
went blank and the ___________ froze. By this time, I was tearing my hair out - it was past
midnight and I still hadn't started working on that report. I phoned my computer guru friend,
Matt, and he told me I probably had a __________ in my system. I must have got it from one
of those stupid joke email attachments - you know, like the 'Love __________' one. I had to
resort to using my __________ but I hate the keyboard on it - it's too small. At least I got my
report finished. Matt's going to send me some software to fix the problem. He also told me in
the future to go to the applications ___________ and launch a good protection programme
before opening unknown files. Good advice and better late than never, I suppose.
