Q: What are Subordinating Conjunctions? 

A: Linking words.

The technical bit! 

A complex sentence. An independent clauses and a dependent clause.   

An independent clause is a complete sentence / John cannot focus on his study

A dependent clause is not a complete sentence / because there is so much noise outside 

A complete sentence. A subject and verb and expresses a complete thought. The boys played with the ball.

Складне речення. Незалежне речення та залежне речення.

Незалежне речення є повним реченням / Джон не може зосередитися на своєму вивченні

Залежне речення не є повним реченням / тому що надворі так багато шуму

Повне речення. Підмет і дієслово і виражає завершену думку. Хлопчики грали з м'ячем.
