Word web (on the whiteboard)

introduction, body, conclusion

introduction

- generally the first paragraph

 a "hook",   "attention grabber"

- anecdote

- gives you an idea what the text will be about

- Sometimes it ends with a question, the writer (tries to) answer(s) it in the text.

body

- generally the second paragraph till the one before the last.

- the pro's and/or cons of a topic

- examples

- writers informs you

- writer tries to convince you

-  writer amuses you

etc.

conclusion

- generally the last paragraph

- short summary

- writer tries to convince the reader one last time

- ends discussion with his/her opinion

- writer tries to bring up new ideas.

etc.

Linking words (verbingswoorden)

There are a lot of those words, but here are a few examples:
