stap 1. Eerst zet je het lijdend vwp vooraan in de zin. 

Passief: 'Speeding tickets'___________________.

Van actief naar passief

Actief: * I always pay my speeding tickets. 

Stap 2: Werkwoord -> tegenwoordige tijd 

Dan krijg je:  'am / are  / is + werkwoord + voltooid deelw. (ww+ed / 3e vorm)  

                   (they, mv) 

Passief: "Speeding tickets are always paid__________."

Van Actief naar passief

Actief:  "I always pay my speeding tickets."

Stap 2: "Als het nodig is: 'by' + me, you, her, him, it, them' 

Passief:  Speeding tickets are always paid by me. 

LET OP: 

am/are/is + voltooid deelwoord (ww + ed / 3e vorm) -> tegenwoordige tijd (usually, today, always) 

was/were + voltooid deelwoord  (ww+ed /3e vorm) -> verleden tijd (yesterday, two days ago, in 1000 B.C.)

Verleden tijd.

The jewellery was stolen by the thief last week.

The matches were won by the team last Saturday. 

The building was damaged by the storm two days ago.
