• Whites and blacks had their own place , everywheren in society (Rassenscheiding)
• Did not give away her seat on the bus for a white man 
•  Became a national symbol 

Martin Luther King

• A Baptist minister
•  civil rights leader for rights of black people 
• 'I have a dream '
• Peaceful protest without violence
• Assasinated 1968

The KKK 

• wanted to repress the rights of black population
• They use extreme force 
•  a terrorist organisation
• Goal : White Supremacy
