1. By coming of age we lose our innocence.
2. Growing up without support and protection of adults is painful.
3. Growing up causes insecurities , especially when one is bullied
4. Emotional abuse is as bad as physical abuse.

Be able to speak for 5 minutes about the similarities and differences between the short stories and poems via the thematic link.  Give examples and be able to explain.

Mention the Literary Period.

An additional 5 min. discussion with your partner about the similarities and differences between two topics.

  the  short story;

 - A reformulation of your claim;

 - Relevance – why does it matter?

 

After 10 minutes you will have a discussion for an additional 5 minutes.

     - How are the topics and themes the same or 

       different?

     - Did you appreciate your partner’s poem and 

        short story? Why or why not?

     - Which poem and short story from the reader did 

        you like most and would you recommend? Why?
