There was a fire in town yesterday. It started on the second floor of a townhouse on Ruben Street. Mrs Jackson and her son were watching TV and were eating their lunch on the first floor. They noticed a smell of burning and heard a crackling noise. Mrs Jackson immediately rang the fire department. They arrived promptly and raised their ladder to the first floor. The fireman carried Mrs Jackson's son down first and then went back for Mrs Jackson. They extinguished the fire within 5 minutes.
Marmaduke the cat was scared of all the commotion and ran up a tree. Luckily the firemen were still there and saved him too.
