Warm up / introduction
Last summer, I visited my grandparents in the countryside. We had a lot of fun. Every morning, I woke up early and helped my grandpa in the garden. We planted tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots. In the afternoon, I swam in the lake with my cousins. We often played games like hide-and-seek and tag. In the evening, we sat on the porch and watched the stars. It was a wonderful summer.

Some unique patterns of irregular verbs formation
Sometimes the verb doesn't change                for some verbs, only
ex: to read ----------- read---------read                the vowel changes
Sometimes the final 'd' changes to 't'                       ex--------

for some verbs you add  't' at the end -------- ex-------
