Lazy cat Tombili

This lazy cat's name was Tombili. Everyday, he lazily sat on this curb. The people loved this chubby cat and his relaxed attitude. They quickly took photos of him. When he sadly passed away, people put a  beautiful statue of him at this urban location. 

Why were some words written in bold?

Verschil bijwoord & bijvoegelijk naamwoord

• Bijvoeglijke naamwoorden  zeggen iets over mensen, dieren of dingen.

Voorbeeld: She is beautiful.

• Bijwoorden  zeggen iets over een werkwoord.

Voorbeeld:  She sings beautifully.

Hoe maak je bijwoorden?

• Door -ly achter een bijvoeglijk naamwoord te zetten.

Voorbeelden:
My sister can sing beautifully.                      Mijn zus kan mooi zingen.

This apple pie was baked perfectly.          Deze appeltaart is perfect gebakken.

He talks very clearly.                                         Hij praat erg duidelijk.

The cat quickly catches the mouse.          De kat vangt de muis snel.

Spelling bijwoorden

• Woorden die eindigen op -y, -le en -ic krijgen een andere spelling.

• Er zijn ook bijwoorden die een eigen vorm hebben:
