First task 

1. Open your notebook 

2. Write the title 'Unit 0 - Directions' at the top of that page 

3. Go to the NEXT page 

4. Write down 'Task 1 - Maps' 

5. Write down the keywords / descriptions of
everything that needs to be on a map 
tip! Maybe look at some maps for inspiration

note: Things we need
on a good map

1. A title 

2. A map key (legend)

3. Colors and symbols 

4. A scale (1 cm = .... km)

5. A north arrow or compass

2. Fill in the right directions in each 

 of the boxes. 

3. Put the worksheet after 'Task 1'
(glue it in!) 

Finding our way - giving directions

Task 3 - Town map 

1. Worksheet 'Town map'

2. Fill in the right directions. 

3. Put the worksheet after 'Task 2'
(glue it in!) 

4. Done? Make a small story in which you give someone directions on the map. Choose your own start and finish. (+50wrds). Write it below / next to the worksheet. 

Homework

1. Make a front cover for Unit 0. Put it on the page where you wrote Unit 0 - Directions. 

2. Finish 'Task 1,2,3 (Maps, Compass, town map)'

3. Make sure to have an A-4 notebook and a folder.
