Reading strategies

We use strategies while reading to make it easier and less time consuming to answer questions about texts.

Skimming and scanning are two reading strategies

Skimming: just take a quick look at a text, the illustrations, the headlines to see what kind of text it is

Scanning: look for certain words or numbers within text.
