Two different types of possessive pronouns

POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS

Zinnen met zelfstandig naamwoord:

• My football is signed by Michael Jordan.
  
• Your computer is quite old and slow.
• Her dog is twelve years old.
  
• The rabbit moves around its cage

POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS

Zinnen zonder zelfstandig naamwoord:

• Is that his pen? - No, it's mine.
  
• Those earrings are yours.
• That drawing is hers.
• Whose laptop is that? – It's theirs.

POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS

We kunnen bezittelijke voornaamwoorden ook zelfstandig gebruiken. Ze betekenen dan “van mij”, “van jou”, “van hem”, etc.

• This is a design of mine.
  
• That dog of yours is  cute.
  
• That friend of his is not very nice.
