Tag questions are...?

1. short trousers in questions
2. short questions
3. short answers at the beginning of a sentence
4. short questions at the end of a sentence.

You are a hockey player, ...

1. are you?
2. aren't you?

He is a hockey player,.........

1. is he?
2. isn't he?

Tag question (bijzin) = korte vraag achter een zin.

Basisregels:

• Hoofdzin  & bijzin (= tag question)
  
• Hoofdzin 'to be' of 'to have'                             --> herhalen in tag question
• Hoofdzin 'can, will, should, would, could' --> herhalen in tag question
  
• Als de bovenstaande woorden niet in de hoofdzin staan -->
  

       een vorm van 'to do' gebruiken in tag question!

• Altijd het persoonlijk voornaamwoord in de tag question herhalen van de hoofdzin!
  

Let op bij deze onregelmatige vorm: 

• I'm a good pianist, ___? aren't I?
• I'm not a good pianist, ____? Am I?
  

Hoofdzin positief (+) = bijzin negatief (-)
Hoofdzin negatief (-) = bijzin positief (+)

You're doing the run, __________?

You don't want to play, ________?

The cake isn't in the box, _____?

John is a fantastic piano player, ____?
