Adverbs of place and time

• verwijzingen naar plaats en tijd: zeggen dus iets over waar of wanneer
• komen vrijwel altijd achteraan de zin
  That's our car in the driveway.
  I am going to meet my friend at the cinema tonight.
• Plaats komt altijd vóór tijd (wie - doet - wat - WAAR - WANNEER)
  Your new scooter will be delivered to your house in five days.
• Tijd zet je alleen vooraan als je de nadruk wilt leggen hierop
  In five days from now, I will be going to Spain.

• komt ná am, is, are, was, were
  My sister is normally free on Tuesday afternoon.

Adverbs of manner

• very, really, incredibly, terribly komen vóór het woord waarover iets is gezegd:

• Andere bijwoorden komen meestal aan het eind van de zin:
  You have to cycle carefully
  Henry left the shop quietly
• Ze kunnen ook vóór het hoofdwerkwoord komen om nadruk te leggen:
  Henry quietly left the shop
  Jason quickly ran to the other side.
