Senses are like detectors
sense organs = organs such as your eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin
* sense organs contain the sensory receptors 
* sense receptors are sensitive to stimuli such as light rays, 
* with the help of sensory receptors, your sense organs give you five abilities called 
senses = vision, hearing, smell, taste and feeling.

- we taste only five things: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and umami.
- our nose does most of the tasting

- babies instinctively do not like bitter or sour flavours (protection) 

- your tongue is very strong and made up of 8 muscles
