> 2 different books, you choose who reads which book

> important: everyone needs to get a notebook specifically for your reading task. You will leave it at school between lessons. 

(so you will still also need a 'normal' notebook). This is not optional!

Timing in period 4 (V5C)

7 lessons (3 weeks) before the holiday

(2 weeks holiday)

c.11 lessons (4 weeks) after the holiday > writing test

6 lessons  > oral exam in test week

I'm going to show you a collection of pictures. Take a good look and think about: what is a common feature / are the similarities?

Exchange with a partner:

- Do you know any of the stories that were shown? What's your favourite / least favourite & why?

- What makes a good story? Name at least 3 elements

1. Any links with the elements of a good story you mentioned earlier?
2. Why would this be such a popular genre (historically)?
3. What do you think is the ultimate goal?
4. In this video, a hero's journey is presented as a quest. What other motives could set a hero's/ protagonist's journey in motion?
5. Should a hero always be  a noble and talented character?

- Think about / decide who you want as a partner for the oral exam (duos). 

- Discuss which book you'd like to read, because you can't read the same.

- Let your teacher know about both.
