If you can put 'by zombies' behind it, it's passive voice

Used when things are in the past and are done and finished. 
Passive: object + was/were + verb (past tense)
The rat was eaten by the zombies

The survivors raided the store
the store was raided by the survivors

The food is divided among everyone every evening
