how to read and write a review

On the worksheet:

• Describe your favourite piece of media. Why did you like it so much?
  
• Use the words on p. 170 in your book if you need it.
  
• Start with: 
• "I chose .... because ....."

Example:

"I chose one of my favourite movies: Legally Blonde. The movie is about a blonde girl who loves to wear pink, and she wants to study law to get back with her ex boyfriend who also studies law. Everyone thinks she isn't smart enough to do it, but she does it!

I like the movie because it's very funny and it's very 2000's or Y2K. It also has a very nice message in the end: Girls can do anything!"

• On your worksheet, you see two examples of movie reviews. 
• You are going to write a review about a movie that you have already seen
• Find a list of movies on: letterboxd.com (click on "films")
• Write about what you liked, didn't like, or even hated about the movie
• The movie was too long, too short, very funny, a little boring, very scary, very exciting, etc....
• Rate the movie with 1-5 stars

This part was really good/bad because....
I give it ..... stars..."
